What you’ll be doing as a Travel Counsellor 

As a Travel Counsellor, you’ll run a home-based travel business on a full-time basis, crafting unforgettable, bespoke trips for your customers. However, you’ll have the freedom to work from wherever you like and choose your own hours based on the needs of you and your customers.

Although you’ll be running your own business, you won’t ever feel alone as a Travel Counsellor. You’ll be trained and supported every step of the way, as well as having plenty of opportunities to immerse yourself into our caring community.

Who is Travel Counsellors for?

Although Travel Counsellors is open to anyone, it’s not the right choice for everyone.

To succeed as a Travel Counsellor, you’ll need:

– The drive, motivation, and resilience to run your own business

– The ability to commit to running your business on a full-time basis – this can’t be done part-time or as a side hustle!

– A genuine passion for travel

– A caring, customer-first approach

– Sufficient funds to support yourself while you get your business off the ground

We have a training and onboarding programme to suit everyone, whether you’re completely new to the travel industry, or have years of experience selling either leisure or corporate trips.

Earning potential

The great thing about Travel Counsellors is that your earnings are completely uncapped. You’ll earn commission on the bookings you make, with you keeping 60% and us retaining 40%. However, the more effort you put in, the bigger financial rewards you’ll reap.

Although there are never any guarantees, we often find that in their first year, new Travel Counsellors joining with experience in travel sales can expect to earn on par or above the industry standard of around £22-26k. Meanwhile, our Academy Travel Counsellors earn circa £20k in their first year.

However, once their businesses are established and they’ve built up a loyal customer base, the sky really is the limit. The top 30% of Travel Counsellors earn over £50k, with our highest-earning 8% taking home an average of £168k!
